The western honey bee communicates through dance. The dancers' Hivemates sometimes butt their heads against the dancer and produce a little "stop signal" buzz to tell her the advertised location was a bad one when they disagree.

Butterflies in this family "taste" with their feet — females drum leaves with their forelegs to chemically confirm it's the right violet before laying an egg.

Breidtinden's north face rises dramatically above Mefjorden, and has around 500-metre climbing routes despite the mountain itself being only 1,001 m high.
